NRG Ballroom
It is one of the famous dance studios in Phoenix. Formerly known as Paragon Dance Center it has a team of professional dance instructors to provide dance training in West Coast Swing and other forms of dance.

Shall We Dance Phoenix
How about learning from a world champion. Yep Mona Brant of Shall We Dance Phoenix has a long resume. She runs classes in the greater Phoenix area taking care of the droves of people who head to warm & sunny Arizona in the winter. Take a peek at her group classes here.
Desert City Swing Dance Club
Desert City Swing Dance Club is located in the Central Phoenix area and serves the entire valley. They are also host to the ever popular WSDC competition event the Desert City Swing Classic with Chief Judge: Angel Figueroa on Labor Day weekend.
Greater Phoenix Swing Dance Club
They play host to the almost 40 year old Phoenix 4th of July event (one of the original west coast swing events in the world) Safe to say they have been dancing west coast swing for a long time. You can’t go wrong with them! Visit their website.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios
March 7th, 1947, the first Fred Astaire Dance Studio opened, at 487 Park Avenue in New York City. A little history about the dance we love
West Coast Swing is a couple dance swing style after the Lindy Hop. Practiced for over 50 years in the United States, mainly on the west coast. It is characterized by 5 base passes, highly elastic movements of the partners, either individually or relative to another and finally a virtually permanent connection partners.
It leaves much to improvisation, to the fun and of course musicality. The solo dances dancers find a freedom of significant movement (the footstep of online dancer or body break dancer).
This dance experiencing exponential growth since it adapts to a wide range of musical styles: Pop, Funk, Dance, Country, Jazz, Blues, R & B, Disco, Rap, Rock, Hard Rock, Ragga and even Kizomba recently. On slow rhythms as fast from 80 to 120 BPM.
It therefore affects several generations and several cultural backgrounds and environments! Place of performance is huge both for the rider (leader) that the rider (follower). The latter is nevertheless development and enjoy more freedom. West Coast Swing “Social” that is in its dance form in the evening or dance practice. More information on this form here.
