West Coast Swing Chicago
West Coast Swing is one of the trendiest dances in the world. You can dance West Coast Swing on any 4/4 music, especially Blues, R&B, Funk, and Top 40 Contemporary. Its line dynamics (slot), its flowing movements and loose styling make WC Swing one of the most fun dances around. Rhythmic variations and syncopations, allow the couples to interpret the music independently. You can enjoy West Coast Swing pretty much anywhere!
West Coast Swing is the official dance of the state of California and originated as a so-called “Hollywood Style” by Dean Collins in the 40’s from the Lindy Hop. West Coast Swing belongs to the family of swing dances and, in contrast to many other swing variants, is a dance that “goes with time.”
